There was once a beautiful tiny little girl named Layla Grace. When she had just joined the ranks of “toddlerhood” her parents noticed something just wasn’t quite right with her. They took her to the doctor….and to make a long story short…the little sweetie was diagnosed with cancer. Yes, the ugly cancer. Unfortunately, cancer won over her little body. She joined the angels in heaven around this time last year. Her sweet mother wrote about all their ups and downs on her blog and twitter account and thousands of people started following her. The world mourned when sweet Layla left us.
Out of all this tragedy, the Layla Grace Foundation was born. You see, there are tons of ongoing research for many types of cancer, but childhood cancers don’t really get the same amount of attention. Layla’s foundation is working on changing that and helping parents deal with the ups and downs of helping their children live.
One way that you can help the families who are going through this awfulness is by giving to the Layla Grace Foundation and that’s where I come in. On April 9th photographers across the USA are putting on a portrait party for Layla! We’re offering mini-sessions to our clients and ALL of the proceeds go to Layla’s Foundation! How GREAT is that?!
Here’s how you can get SHOT for Layla!
Go here: http://store.laylagrace.org/categories/Portrait-Party-%2711/Lexington%2C-KY/ and purchase a session.
On April 1st I will get an email with everyone’s information and email you about your session.
When you purchase a session you get one 8×10. I’ve decided to also give you 3 of the best high-res retouched digital images from your session as an extra happy thingy.
I am offering a 25% discount on additional purchases at your viewing session.
Then bring your happy face to Jacobson Park in the morning on the 9th and get ready to have some FUN!!!!!
ThankĀ you, my wonderful readers, for loving on these families!
Love,
Isa

When I came over for their session, little Miss Ari was getting her hair done by Grandma. She’s totally adorable!

I had taken a similar picture to this one when Kenya was pregnant with Ari, so she wanted it done again for her little guy.

What a happy family!!!!

We messed around with some moody lighting as the two year old got sick of us.

I LOVED this balloon Kenya got at her shower!!! How stinkin’ cute is that?!

“Can you guys play airplane with Ari?” – “Uh, Sure!” Ari Loved it!

One last shot of just the two of them…..because they are about to become a family of FOUR!!! That’s right! Kenya is in labor right now people! So say some prayers for an awesome delivery for her!!!!!!!
I CAN’T WAIT TO MEET THE NEW BABY BOY!!!! CONGRATSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!

We’ve been telling lies and being secretive for weeks…but now I can let these out! I shot the super duper most fastest maternity session ever a week ago for Jen! So here’s some of the shots we got
Enjoy!
We started out at her home.

She thought this book was so stinkin’ adorable!

Then we went outside to ridiculously COLD FRIGID Temperatures….

Only to find out that my Nikon remote flashes won’t work in zero degrees….OH So Frustrating!!!!!!

So we did an inside version of this shot….

The end

I’ve been a horrible blogger. I have some stuff from January and February that literally never made this blog. But I’m working on making this better – because I have now hired someone to play with Solomon so I can get to more of my business stuff during the day! I’m super happy!
Anyway, here’s a couple of sessions I did at the beginning of this month.
My friend, Cindy, is so ready for her littlest guy to come out!

but, of course, her toddlers wanted the attention that their little brother was getting…

This is Aaron – I was telling him something funny that happened to his mom at work and I got this smile out of him

I absolutely loved the simple photographs of his many faces during our session. There’s a lot of depth to this young guy!

And this is his “Thanks Mom and Dad for paying for college so I don’t have to sleep on one of these” photographs

And I caught this little gem at the end of our session during the “golden hour” of light.

Anyway, stay tuned! I’ve got a couple of fun announcements coming in the next week (and even another one a week after that!).
